DIY WOOD SHELF AND MANTLEPIECE PROJECT

Hi Friends!

This week we are excited to show our first made-to-order project! A DIY wood shelf and wood mantlepiece, both made with reclaimed wood.

We were pleasantly surprised by this unexpected order from a friend who needed some woodwork done.

Knowing about James’ passion for wood and his experience after having a building company for almost 30 years, this friend asked if James was up for the challenge. And sure he was!

As we have many plans for the property, James is always alert to find opportunities to buy all kinds of wood for our projects.

But buying new is not an option!

Good quality wood has become scarce and extremely expensive. On the other hand, there is a lot of old wood around from old buildings being demolished or renovated.

So this is what we have been doing, buying old used wood for new projects!

This situation has opened a new opportunity, so let us know if you need wood pieces like country-style kitchen or garden furniture or other projects in wood. (Keep in mind that we are in Portugal!)

We hope you enjoyed the video. If you did, please give it a thumbs up and leave your comments below.

Stay tuned!

See you next week!
